Nebraskans can still get affordable Health Insurance Marketplace options next year, according to the U-S Department of Health and Human Services.

This comes after insurance providers announced premium increases of 30 to 39 percent.

J-J Green with the Nebraska Association of Health Underwriters says most people receiving federal tax credits will not see much of an increase.

Green says another problem is most of those who signed up for insurance had serious medical problems.

Three companies offer insurance through the exchange in Nebraska – Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, and Medica.

Open enrollment for 2017 begins November 1st.
