The Biden Administration has released a new Broadband coverage map that shows four states leading the way in lacking in access to that technology. One of those is Nebraska. Center for Rural Affairs Policy Director Johnathan Hladik says they’ve known for some time that problem exists and now its critical everyone recognize that the amount of broadband that’s been available has been exaggerated and the problem is more serious than first thought.
He says the access problem must be fixed as its critical to the economic viability of farmers and ranchers as well as Rural communities.
Hladik says most states have a broadband office or coordinator in place and Nebraska should look at adding that.
Besides Nebraska, the three other states shown on the coverage map needing better access include: Idaho, Montana and Texas.
