Add another chapter to the Jake Adams baseball story.
The power hitting first baseman landed at Iowa after North Dakota dropped its baseball program.
Not only did he earn a starting spot with the Hawkeyes, he led the nation with 29 home runs and was named Big Ten Player of the Year.
Now Adams, from Brandon, South Dakota, is a sixth round pick of the Houston Astros in the Major League Baseball draft.
A second Hawkeye, shortstop Mason McCoy, was taken in the same round by Baltimore.
