The Nebraska ACLU has filed a lawsuit against the Nebraska Department of Corrections. Legal Counsel Amy Miller says for years they were able to ask for – and receive open record requests about the suppliers of lethal injection drugs.

Miller says Nebraskans have the right to know how much of their money is being spent on these drugs, and the manufacturer.

Miller says these are all questions that taxpayers deserve an answer. The lawsuit filed asks a judge to order the release of that information to the public.
