A report issued by the American Civil Liberties Union of Nebraska claims law enforcement in the state often misuse tasers.
ACLU Nebraska Legal Director Amy Miller says their study gathered reports of misuse throughout the state. . .

The report examined the use of tasers by 11 Nebraska police departments from January of last year until May of this year.
The report also says a taser was used on a 10-year-old in a Kearney public school.

The report claims tasers were misused on a man in Hastings accused of spitting on officers and on a young mentally ill woman in Grand Island.
Miller says departments can improve accountability by adopting federal recommendations for the weapons.
