American Coalition For Ethanol members at their annual conference last week talked about everything from the need for year round use of E-15 to getting positive volumes out for the Renewable Fuel Standard which EPA has yet to do for this year and next year. ACE CEO Brian Jennings says their big push will be to press for ethanol to be at the center of any climate solutions the government decides upon.

He says even though they can’t control what federal policymakers do for biofuels they will continue to weigh in with them on the issue.

Jennings says another one of their priorities is to work with Minnesota Congresswoman Angie Craig to get her legislation approved that would put into law the requirement that E-15 be offered year-round.

He says that’s because oil states have strong representation in Congress as well as a strong lobby that will need to be overcome.
