The American Coalition for Ethanol wants one change to the Next Generation Fuels Act that’s been introduced in the U.S. House. ACE CEO Brian Jennings says the problem that needs correcting is the low octane carbon standard called for in the measure.

He says all the other provisions in the bill are beneficial for ethanol and they want to see those approved.

Jennings says ACE is working with several House members about the fix needed in the legislation.

Jennings says if the House includes the change they’ve recommended its chances of getting approval from non-biofuel state Representatives and Senators is greater.
