The Environmental Protection Agency has a big job now reviewing all of the comments on their RFS volume obligation proposal. The Comment period ended Tuesday and American Coalition for Ethanol Executive Vice President Brian Jennings says pro renewable supporters registered their displeasure with the proposal.

Jennings says renewable fuel opponents wanted EPA to reduce the volume obligations even lower than they did in their proposal. He says they won’t stop until they get the RFS totally repealed. Jennings says that’s why his group has to keep fighting.

He adds that he agrees with Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller that EPA is acting outside their jurisdiction in even changing the volume obligations. He says if they don’t change this proposal the matter could end up in court.

Jennings says ACE members will be visiting with members of Congress and EPA when they go to Washington DC in March for their annual fly in.
