This week outgoing Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack said the Renewable Fuel Standard will survive a Donald Trump administration because ethanol is too well established in rural areas and the RFS supports too many jobs. American Coalition for Ethanol Executive Vice President Brian Jennings says his group is already preparing to work with the new President on several biofuel issues including the RFS.
He says there are several areas his group can work with the new administration on for biofuel development and advancement and hopefully find a solution to the problematic rule that limits E 15 use during the summer months.
U.S. ethanol production has more than doubled since 2007 when the current form of the RFS was first enacted.
