The Greener Fuels Act has been introduced in the United States Senate and House to undermine the Renewable Fuels Standard. American Coalition for Ethanol CEO Brian Jennings says the companion bills are irresponsible and if approved would hurt farmers and consumers.

He says not only does the Greener Fuels Act severely cap ethanol use, it also substitutes petroleum fuel for ethanol in the nation’s fuel supply.

Jennings says the Greener Fuels Act is probably dead on arrival in both the House and the Senate.
