American Coalition for Ethanol members wrapped up their three-day annual conference Wednesday in Minneapolis. ACE Senior Vice President Ron Lamberty says they’re working to make sure higher octane levels meet federal café standards. He says they’ll also be pushing the EPA to up the RFS volumes to the statutory levels.

He says their members had a long discussion about fuel specifications and how ethanol can play a larger role in future café rules.

Lamberty says ACE is also providing information to retailers and service station owners who wish to sell higher ethanol blends.

Lamberty says they’ve included a lot of information in brochures for service station owners and retailers to consider when deciding to offer higher blends of ethanol. He says it’s not a move they can make overnight, but the pamphlets should help them in their decision.
