American Coalition for Ethanol members are uniting to push the EPA and Congress to help the ethanol industry which is going through a difficult time. ACE Board member and past South Dakota Corn Grower’s President Troy Knecht says they’re backing a pair of bills in the House. One would require EPA to make public information about which companies receive RFS small refinery waivers and the other measure would require refiners to blend more ethanol to make up for lost waivers.

He says they also want their members to push for more flex fuel vehicles and low carbon fuels.

Knecht says it’s so tough for the ethanol industry now it’s imperative everyone get involved and weigh in with their elected officials.

ACE members addressed these issues at the end of last week at their annual conference in Omaha.
