Wednesday, President Donald Trump directed the EPA to reconsider the final determination of CAFÉ Greenhouse Gas fuel standards. American Coalition for Ethanol Executive Vice President Brian Jennings is pleased with the decision. He says under the Obama administration the EPA rushed the review and didn’t include high ethanol blends like E25 to E40, which would help to meet those standards.

He says with the review reinstated there’s plenty of time for ACE to deliver their message to the EPA. Jennings says they’ll submit public comments, as well as meet with EPA officials.

Jennings says next week, 70 American Coalition for Ethanol members will also be in the nation’s capital to make their case to the EPA and Congressional lawmakers.

The President has directed the EPA to revisit the final determination to allow additional consultation with the public, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the California Air Resources Board.
