Last week American Coalition for Ethanol members held over 120 meetings on Capitol Hill speaking with members of Congress and the Administration. Executive Vice President Brian Jennings says one of their priority issues they had positive feedback on was the RFS point of obligation. He says there’s no movement at this time in either the administration or Congress to change that obligation from processors to fuel retailers.
He says what’s really encouraging is legislation that’s being looked at to lift the Reid Vapor Pressure rule to allow the sale of E15 year-round.
Jennings says their members worked hard to let Congress and the administration know the importance of keeping the RFS intact.
Over 70 ACE members were in Washington D.C. last week for the Fly-in.
