ACE Leaders Expecting EPA Ruling In June

A group of over 80 American Coalition for Ethanol members spent the week lobbying members of Congress on renewable fuel issues. Ethanol Coalition Executive Vice President Brian Jennings says they spoke with EPA, a Presidential advisor and Ag Secretary Vilsack about the need to increase those volume requirements. He says their message was heard and they’re expecting an EPA decision by late June.

Jennings says while they’d like to see a ruling sooner rather than later it’s more important EPA make the proper decision and raise those RFS volume levels.

Jennings says Presidential Staffer Dan Utech met with ACE members and indicated the President’s support for the Renewable Fuel Standard. He says while that’s positive, there needs to be follow through from the EPA on the issue.
