ACE Hoping OMB Releases RFS Decision Soon

The Environmental Protection Agency has sent over the final 2014 renewable fuel standard volume obligation rule to the White House office of management and budget. American Coalition for Ethanol Executive Vice President Brian Jennings is hoping now that that has happened, the final rule will come out in 30 days although he says there’s no guarantee that will occur.
Jennings says it’s not the volume numbers that’s important but how EPA has determined those numbers.
Jennings says if EPA doesn’t get the volume requirements right, then ACE may have to take the agency to court although they’d prefer not having to go that route.
Jennings says it’s critical that EPA finalize a rule that allows the R-F-S to work by incentivizing oil companies to blend above the E 10 limit.
