The American Coalition for Ethanol has filed comments with the Environmental Protection Agency on their proposed 2019 Renewable Fuel Volume Obligations under the Renewable Fuel Standard. ACE CEO Brian Jennings says their 15 billion gallon proposal is meaningless without a fix to the slew of RFS waiver that have been granted refiners.

He says the EPA needs to follow the law with the RFS and get it operating properly without waiver destruction.

Jennings says producers need the RFS to be operating the way it was intended to help them at a time they’re under so much economic pressure from various factors.

Jennings says there were around 300,000 comments made to the EPA on their 2019 RFS proposal.
