The abuse of prescription opioids has reached epidemic proportions. As a result, the Minnesota Medical Association has reconvened their 14-member, physician-led, task force to find ways to combat the problem

 

Dr. Dan Thorson says they will also look into physician prescribing practices of opioids and discuss the possibility of a state prescription monitoring program.
