The Department of Veterans Affairs is hosting an event to combat homelessness amongs local veterans. The third annual Stand Down will be held in Wagner on September 11th to give veterans access to services they may be struggling with. Darci Bultje is with the Rural Office of Community Services and says there will be plenty of community support at the event.
The Sioux Falls VA Health Care System, Dakotas VA Regional Office, and several community partners are helping to sponsor the event. Bultje, Director of Community Services, says any veterans are invited to attend.
The public is also welcome to attend the stand down from 9 am to 1:00 pm at the Armory on Highway 46 in Wagner.
