A Promise Priority

A priority for the Board of Regents and state universities again this year is getting the legislature to approve the “Dakota’s Promise” scholarship.

South Dakota State University President Barry Dunn says it is very important…

The Regents asked for a million dollars to start the program last year which failed to pass out of the legislature.

Dunn says the scholarship would help more people get the education they want..

Dunn says any money the legislature puts into the program would be matched by the universities..

The scholarships would be available for students attending any post-secondary school in the state, private or public.
