A Prison Inmate is Missing From the Yankton Minimum Security Unit

A state prison inmate has been placed on escape status.

Inmate Jonathan Archambeau failed to return to the Yankton Minimum Unit from his work release job site in Yankton Sunday night.

Archambeau is a 28-year old white male with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 5-feet-11 inches tall and weighs approximately 185 pounds.

Archambeau is currently serving a 4-year sentence for grand theft out of Hughes County.

There are approximately 800 minimum-security inmates housed across the state, including 260 at the Yankton Minimum Unit. There are approximately 150 inmates on work release status across the state.

Anyone who sees Archambeau or knows of his whereabouts should contact law enforcement immediately.
