South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has called on Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg to resign following him being charged in connection with the death of 55 year old Joe Boever of Highmore in September. Ravnsborg hit Boever as he was walking on the shoulder of Highway 14 west of Highmore.
Department of Public Safety Secretary Craig Price says local agencies are not now relying on the Attorney General..

Price says public trust has been lost..

Price says the legislature is following their duties by beginning an impeachment investigation..

Ravnsborg has issued several statements saying he will not resign and that he can carry out his duties.
