The 2019 Beef Bowl is set for Saturday, September 21 at South Dakota State University in Brookings. SDSU Animal Science Professor Cody Wright says they’ll be holding an auction and serving a beef barbecue meal to help raise money for student scholarships.

He says SDSU’s Animal Science Program continues to see growth.

Wright says the barbecue starts at 3:30 pm and the football game between SDSU and Southern Utah kicks off at 6 pm.

Wright says Empirical Foods, formerly BPI has donated the beef. He adds that at last year’s Beef Bowl they were able to raise enough scholarship money to help around 20 students.
