Eight democratic Senators and eleven full time committees means a lot of work in the 2015 South Dakota legislature.
Senator-elect Bernie Hunhoff of Yankton is assigned to four committees, State Affairs, Transportation, Education and Retirement Laws.
He says it is a matter of numbers.

Hunhoff says most of the major issues in the session will come through at least one of his committees.

Hunhoff says there is a lot of ground work to be done before they meet next month.

The session begins on January 14th.
