University of South Dakota President Jim Abbott marked twenty years at the school during the Dakota Days celebration this fall.
He says it has been an interesting and fulfilling time….

Since he became president in 1997, enrollment has grown from about seven thousand, to near ten thousand, several new buildings have been added, including the Muenster University Center, Beacom School of Business, the Wellness Center, Coyote Village and the Sanford Sports Center.

Abbott says he wants to stay focused on students….

The USD Foundation has also had a couple of fund drives, raising over three hundred million dollars for scholarships and other campus projects.
