A major search effort on the Missouri River is planned through the weekend.
Yankton Police Chief Brian Paulsen held a news conference to update the search for six year old Lincoln Hilt of Hurley.

Paulsen says the search began Sunday evening.

Paulsen says they plan to have a lot of people and equipment out on the river over the weekend.

Paulsen says they want to search until they find the little boy.

He says today’s search will include three dive teams during the day, the State Game, Fish and Parks officers along with cadaver dogs, and two aircraft viewing the river. Paulsen says they cannot accept the services of individual divers during the search due to insurance and liability.
