The Summit League announced the dates, sites and hosts for all 19 of its sport championships for 2016-17 season today.

Headlining the schedule is The Summit League Basketball Championships, which will be hosted by the Sioux Falls Sports Authority. After record-breaking attendance in 2016, the championships return to the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. The 2017 championships will be the eighth consecutive in Sioux Falls, extending its league host city record.

Western Illinois kicks off the championships slate by hosting cross country Oct. 29, followed by women’s soccer in Fargo for the first time on Nov. 3 and 5. On Nov. 10 and 12, Denver hosts the men’s soccer championship for the third consecutive season and welcomes the volleyball championship a week later (Nov. 18-20) for the second straight year.

The swimming and diving championships return to Indianapolis for the fourth consecutive year, while IUPUI hosts the tennis championships for just the first time since 2005 and second overall. South Dakota State welcomes the indoor track & field championships for the first time at its new facility, the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.

For the second straight season, Nebraska City, Neb., (women) and Newton, Kan., (men) will host the golf championships, while North Dakota State welcomes the outdoor track & field championships for the third time in the last six years.

The softball championship returns to Fargo for the fourth consecutive season and Oral Roberts welcomes back the baseball tournament for the second straight year and 14th all-time. 2016-17 Summit League Championships Calendar
