Those interested in learning more about Nebraska’s weather, want to become a storm chaser or weather spotter should plan on attending the 17th Annual Family Weatherfest and Central Plains Severe Weather Symposium in Lincoln on April 1st. UNL’s Extension’s Ken Dewey is a professor of climatology and is coordinating this big event. He says they have made some big changes for the 17th annual event.
Dewey says there are many events that are geared to children and families and about 60 exhibits dealing with community safety, climate change and natural resources.
There is no charge to attend.
