Twelve school districts are getting $500,000 in new state grants that will provide students in greater Minnesota with high speed internet connections.
Lt. Governor Tina Smith. The funding allows districts to equip buses with wireless hotspots so students can complete homework while commuting. And the grants will be used to purchase wireless hotspots, data cards and other broadband devices that students will be able to check out and use from home. 12 of 33 districts that applied for the grants received funding.
