Iowa Pork Producers Join USFRA

The Iowa Pork Producers Association along with several other groups has joined the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance. Iowa Pork President Dave Struthers says earlier the National Pork Producers Council became part of that organization but his board felt that the Iowa group also needed to join that group. He says it’s important to get agriculture’s story out to stop misinformation that’s hurting farmers and ranchers.

Struthers also says because consumers are so far removed from farms and ranches that getting the right message to them becomes even more important.

The U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance has been bringing in experts throughout the industry to talk about the most contentious issues in agriculture. It has done that through their Food Dialogues and also through the Faces of Farming and Ranching programs that use farmers and ranchers voices.
