Wayne State College will host Family Day, Sept. 14 on campus from 9 a.m. until a fireworks show at dusk.

The Office of Residence Life also invites relatives ages 6 to 16 to spend the night or weekend on campus with their older brother or sisters for the weekend of Sept. 13 and 14. Youngsters may sign up for Little Sibling Weekend in August and up until the day of the event. Siblings will be able to stay the night on Friday and/or Saturday (Sept.13 – 14) in their relative’s residence hall room. WSC students will be responsible for hosting and supervising their sibling(s). Registration to stay overnight is required. Pre-registration for Little Sibs weekend will be available via email on Aug. 1.

Both student and sibling may participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities throughout the weekend. The “sibling” does not have to be an actual sibling: cousins, friends, neighbors or other young people are eligible. WSC Students may host a maximum of four siblings. Should individuals need to request to host more siblings, please contact the Office of Residence Life at 402-375-7318.

Registration to stay overnight will occur at the registration table located in the Kanter Student Center from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sept. 13. You will also be able to purchase Little Sibs bags while registering.
