This is THE BEST Washington DC trip around!  It’s your chance to see the sites you’ve always wanted to see! This is a 6-day flyaway that takes you to Washington DC and historic Philadelphia!

Note: This trip requires walking shoes!  We travel around DC like a local — mostly by bus, subway and on foot! You’ll get the full National Monument experience!

The itinerary

Day 1
Morning Fly to Washington DC from your airport, shuttle to hotel
On your own for lunch
3pm Check in at Courtyard Hotel
4pm The Mall Memorial March!  This walk will take you to see the Vietnam, Lincoln, Korean, MLK, FDR and Jefferson memorials.

Day 2
Tour the Capitol Visitor’s Center; Official Capitol Tour
Visit the US House or Senate Gallery (If available)
Noon Lunch on your own at Capitol Cafeteria
Visit the US Supreme Court (if open); tour the Library of Congress
Walk through Botanical Garden & Sculpture Garden (if time)
Visit the National Archives and Ford’s Theatre & Museum
Night: Scenic walk to the White House and Lafayette Square

Day 3 Museum Day
Visit the Air & SpaceNatural HistoryHirshhorn, and/or American History Museums.
African American Museum; Holocaust Museum afternoon
Night:  Walk to the WWII, Korean & Vietnam Memorials; Lincoln Memorial

Day 4
9am Depart hotel to Mount Vernon
10am Tour the home of George Washington
Lunch on your own at Mount Vernon
Visit Iwo Jima Memorial, then Arlington Cemetery.  You’ll see the Tomb of the UnknownJFK Eternal Flame and the Arlington House.

Day 5
6am Shuttle to Union Station
7am Amtrak train ride to Philadelphia
9:15am Arrive in Philadelphia
You will have the opportunity to visit the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Congress Hall, the Colonial Supreme Court, Christ Church, Ben Franklin grave, Oldest neighborhood/Alley, Betsy Ross house, Old printing press, Portrait Gallery, US Mint Tour and more!
5pm Arrive at Amtrak Station
Supper At train station

Day 6
Morning Opportunity to visit sites you missed!
Last Day: Travel home!

Price: $2,599 per person double; $2,499 per person triple; $2,399 per person quad; $3,099 per person single

Trip Assurance is available for $100 per person.
With Trip Assurance, if you have to cancel because of a medical condition or death in your immediate family less than 60-days prior to the trip, we’ll refund 40% of your payment; plus you’ll receive another 40% of your payment in the form of a future trip credit, minus the Trip Assurance charge.
You may cancel outside of 60-days with a full refund, minus the flight price and Trip Assurance.

TRIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General
Itinerary and hotels are subject to change. Alternatives may be offered due to closure or unexpected events.
Tour prices are subject to increased rate until booked with a deposit.
Booking a tour indicates you have read and agree with the terms.

Air Travel
Air fare is booked at Economy class group rate. Upgrades may be requested at additional cost.
One carry-on bag, meeting the airline specifications, is included in the trip price.
Additional charges for checked bags may be imposed by the airline and is the responsibility of the traveler.
Airlines may change departure times and/or layover sites. Please check the status one day prior to the flight.

Ground Transportation
Ground transportation is provided by air-conditioned motor coach.
Seat rotation is not enforced.
If you need special accommodations or have concerns during the trip,  please speak with the host and every effort will be made to make suitable arrangements.
All items brought onto the motor coach must be kept clear of the aisle.
Please ensure luggage brought on the motor coach is not excessive and allows for all passengers to be accommodated.

Hotel Accommodations
Hotels are subject to change based on availability at time of reservation.
Elevators are not guaranteed at all properties.
Traveler is responsible for his/her luggage and may have to walk a short distance with their bag.

Special Requirements
All tours require some walking and traveler is responsible for their own luggage. Please request help from the host if needed.
If special accommodations are needed, please communicate this before booking.
Arrangements for special requirements may incur additional costs to the traveler.
