The Itinerary

Day 1   
Fly Omaha/Kansas City/Minneapolis/Des Moines to Denver
Stop: Pikes Peak Rail Cog
Pikes Peak is a 14,115-foot mountain in the Front Range of the Rockies, near Colorado Springs. It’s known as “America’s Mountain”!
Did you know that Pikes Peak inspired the poem “America the Beautiful”?
The Pikes Peak Summit Visitor Center offers amenities and stunning views!
Overnight in Colorado Springs

Day 2 
Stop: Royal Gorge Bridge & Park
Royal Gorge is a stunning canyon along the Arkansas River in Colorado, known for its dramatic scenery and attractions.
The Royal Gorge bridge is one of the world’s highest suspension bridges, offering breathtaking views of the canyon and river.
Evening in historic downtown Durango
Overnight in Durango

Day 3
Stop: Train ride to Silverton
The train travels along a narrow-gauge railway originally built to transport silver and gold from the mining town of Silverton.
This is a journey through history, with vintage steam and diesel engines.
The route follows the Animas River, offering breathtaking views of deep canyons, towering mountains, and lush forests.
This train travels through areas inaccessible by car, providing unique perspectives of the landscape.
The ride takes approximately 3.5 hours to the historic mining town of Silverton.

Day 4  
Stop: Explore Mesa Verde National Park; Four Corners; Monument Valley, Utah
Mesa Verde National Park is a significant archaeological site that preserves the heritage of the Ancestral Pueblo people.
Four Corners allows you to stand in four states at ONCE!
Monument Valley is an iconic landscape of the American West, renowned for its towering sandstone buttes and mesas. Many movies have been filmed in this area.

Day 5 
Stop: Visit the Grand Canyon!
Do you NEED an explanation?  The Grand Canyon is the grandest of all canyons!

Day 6  
Stop: Visit Zion National Park!
The park’s centerpiece is Zion Canyon, carved by the Virgin River.  It features towering sandstone cliffs, colorful rock formations, and lush hanging gardens.
Zion offers a wide range of hiking trails, from easy riverside walks to challenging treks like the Narrows (hiking in the Virgin River) and Angels Landing.
Other activities include canyoneering, rock climbing, and wildlife viewing.
Overnight in Springdale, UT

Day 7 
Stop: Visit Zion National Park & Bryce Canyon National Park!
Bryce Canyon is renowned for having the largest concentration of hoodoos in the world. Hoodoos are irregular columns of rock, creating a surreal and stunning landscape.
Overnight in Canyon City, UT

Day 8   
Stop: Arches National Park!
The park boasts over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, the highest concentration in the world!
Overnight in Moab, UT

Day 9
Arrive in Denver
Evening flight home

  • Tour gratuities and tips are included in the price of your tour. Gratuities for your tour director and driver are not included. The suggested gratuity for your director and bus driver is $2-$3 a day. These should be related to the service received and are solely at your discretion.

TRIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General
Itinerary and hotels are subject to change. Alternatives may be offered due to closure or unexpected events.
Tour prices are subject to increased rate until booked with a deposit.
Booking a tour indicates you have read and agree with the terms.

Air Travel
Air fare is booked at Economy class group rate. Upgrades may be requested at additional cost.
One carry-on bag, meeting the airline specifications, is included in the trip price.
Additional charges for checked bags may be imposed by the airline and is the responsibility of the traveler.
Airlines may change departure times and/or layover sites. Please check the status one day prior to the flight.

Ground Transportation
Ground transportation is provided by air-conditioned motor coach.
Seat rotation is not enforced.
If you need special accommodations or have concerns during the trip,  please speak with the host and every effort will be made to make suitable arrangements.
All items brought onto the motor coach must be kept clear of the aisle.
Please ensure luggage brought on the motor coach is not excessive and allows for all passengers to be accommodated.

Hotel Accommodations
Hotels are subject to change based on availability at time of reservation.
Elevators are not guaranteed at all properties.
Traveler is responsible for his/her luggage and may have to walk a short distance with their bag.

Special Requirements
All tours require some walking and traveler is responsible for their own luggage. Please request help from the host if needed.
If special accommodations are needed, please communicate this before booking.
Arrangements for special requirements may incur additional costs to the traveler.
