United Way of Greater Yankton would like to announce their Back2School Clothing Drive to support TheClothing Closet’s mission of offering community members who are struggling to make ends meet theopportunity to receive free, quality clothing in a dignified, and welcoming space. The Back2School Clothing Driveis an opportunity to donate clothing, increasing the inventory available for families with children so they maybegin the school year with adequate and appropriate clothing.Donations of clean, gently used clothing, plus shoes will be accepted on Thursday, July 30 and Friday, July 31.A designated donation tent will be located outside The Clothing Closet on the corner of 3rd & Capital Street,within the Meridian District, Yankton, SD. Donations will only be accepted between the hours of 12:00 noon –6:00 pm on those specific dates.
Most needed items include youth pants, youth shoes, men’s pants, and men’s shoes. Household goods, toys,or undergarments WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.The Clothing Closet is open to families in need of clothing at 203 E 3rd Street, Yankton, SD each Mondayafternoon by appointment only.
