May 3 @ 10:50am Fly from Omaha to Venice
May 4 From the airport, we’ll travel to Venice via water taxi! You’ll find beauty in every corner of “The Floating City”.

May 5
Organized Tour of Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica, plus St Mark’s Square and Rialto Bridge
Lunch on your own at 12:30pm
Stop: Visit Basilica S Maria. This is an imposing Gothic-style church completed in 1330s, housing 2 works by Titian along with his tomb.
Later: Navigate the Grand Canal with an optional gondola ride!

May 6 Morning on your own to explore, then take the train to Florence!
Visit the Market Halls for supper & shopping

May 7 Depart hotel for Organized Tour: 9am-Noon Best of Florence Walking tour with David & the Duomo; & Ponte Vecchio, the old bridge lined with shops.
Accademia Gallery: Michelangelo’s original David is featured along other sculptures and Renaissance paintings.
Florence Cathedral (Duomo): Visit the interior for free, but book tickets for the climb to the dome (Brunelleschi’s Dome) and the adjacent museum.
Tour ends at noon, lunch on your own in the area
Stop: 2:30pm Visit the Uffizi Gallery: This is a world-renowned art museum showcasing masterpieces by Renaissance masters like Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Botticelli.
Stop: 4:15pm Basilica of Santa Croce in Florence This is a secular non-profit organization that has managed, preserved, and restored the monumental Basilica complex in Florence since the 14th century. It looks amazing inside!

May 8 Take train to Pisa! T
Stop: We’ll visit the Piazza dei Miracoli: The “Square of Miracles” which is home to the Leaning Tower (of Pisa), the Cathedral, and the Baptistery. You have tickets to climb to the top!

May 9 Organized Tour: 10:30am – 1:30pm The Colosseum & Palatine Hill: The iconic Flavian Amphitheater, a testament to Roman engineering and a popular venue for gladiatorial contests.
Lunch on your own in the area
Optional further exploration: Arch of Titus, Farnese Gardens, Basilica Julia, Circus Maximus and other sites
Trevi Fountain: Throw a coin into this baroque masterpiece to ensure your return to Rome. Spanish Stairs, Via Del Corso and more

May 10 See the Pope?
Stop: Noon (arrive by 11am) View the Pope’s prayer (if he is in town). He appears at the window of the Apostolic Palace in St. Peter’s Square to deliver a short speech, prayer and blessing.
Stop: Roman Pantheon A well-preserved ancient Roman temple, now a church, known for its impressive dome and oculus.
Stop: Castel Sant’angelo

Tour prices are subject to increased rate until booked with a deposit.

Air Travel
Air fare is booked at Economy class group rate. Upgrades may be requested at additional cost.
One carry-on bag, meeting the airline specifications, is included in the trip price.
Additional charges for checked bags may be imposed by the airline and is the responsibility of the traveler.
Airlines may change departure times and/or layover sites. Please check the status one day prior to the flight.
Ground Transportation
Ground transportation is provided by air-conditioned motor coach.
Seat rotation is not enforced.
If you need special accommodations or have concerns during the trip, please speak with the host and every effort will be made to make suitable arrangements.
All items brought onto the motor coach must be kept clear of the aisle.
Please ensure luggage brought on the motor coach is not excessive and allows for all passengers to be accommodated.
