SiouxperCon is a fan convention celebrating several mediums: including comic books, anime, board games, video games, science fiction, and fantasy. A non-profit event, SiouxperCon is dedicated to promoting literacy and valuable life skills in an inclusive and friendly environment. Net proceeds from the convention will benefit REACH Literacy and the JY6 Foundation.

SiouxperCon runs Friday, April 15th through Sunday, April 17th, at the Best Western Plus Ramkota Hotel in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The convention kicks off with a video game tournament, Siouxper Brawl, on Friday, April 15th. Panels, vendor booths, and Artist Alley will be open on Saturday, April 16th and Sunday, April 17th. Featured guests include comic book creators Phil Hester, Eric Gapstur, Tom Nguyen, Sean E. Williams, and Gordon Purcell. Jennifer Cihi, the original singing voice actress for Sailor Moon, will be performing a concert on the night of Saturday, April 16th.

“We’ve got a great group of people putting this on, and a great community to hold the event in. We are extremely excited about the local talent and businesses who are involved as exhibitors and sponsors, as well as the guests we are bringing in. This is going to be fantastic,” event founder Brian Broekemeier said.
