Members of the Reliance Area Community Development (RACD) are preparing to welcome the community for their 31st Annual Dinner Theater, set for Friday, February 6, and Saturday, February 7, at the Legion Hall in Reliance.
This year’s production, Last Gasp at the Last Gulp, is a fast-paced comedy by playwright Craig Sodaro. Set in the late 1800s during the settlement of the area, the play is a Wild West–style whodunit filled with colorful characters, humor, and mystery.
Audience members will be introduced to Doc Robbins, a domineering dentist; Bonnie Vivant, who dreams having a refined restaurant; and a trio of old prospectors known as Crusty, Dusty, and Musty. The cast is rounded out with saloon gals and a host of surprise characters, all leading up to one pressing question: Who ends up dead—and who did it?
Doors will open at 6 p.m., with hors d’oeuvres served upon arrival. Guests will then enjoy a roast beef dinner complete with dessert, followed by the performance.
