Why Donate?
 Blood donations often decrease during the summer months, but the need for lifesaving blood and blood products remains constant. Help boost the blood supply as we head into the summer months!
 Every 2 seconds a hospital patient is in need of a blood transfusion.
 About 1 in 7 people entering a hospital will need blood.
 There is no substitute for generous blood donations.
 One pint makes a difference! One donation can save the lives of up to three hospital patients.
 Blood donation matters for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment. In fact, cancer patients are the number one recipient of blood products.
 It is also critical that we have a stable blood supply for surgery patients, newborn babies, trauma and accident patients, and so many other children and adults in their critical time of need.
 Donating blood takes less than one hour and will positively impact someone in our community.
 90% of the population will need a blood transfusion at some point in their life, yet less than 5% of the eligible population actually donates.
