WAYNE, Neb. (Oct. 25, 2019) – Surround yourself in festive ambience during the Holiday Dinner Concerts at the Beaumont Event and Concert Hall at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8. Tickets sold out quickly last year, so the Wayne State College Department of Music has extended this much-anticipated event to two nights.

A universal message of peace embraces the evening with performances by the WSC Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, and Women’s Choir. Special guests include a Bell Choir directed by WSC student Micah Schut of Scribner; and The Black Box Trio. Trio members include Kathi Angeroth, violin; Dr. Karl Kolbeck, clarinet; and Shelly Armstrong, piano. Repertoire includes Carol of the Bells, Silent Night, and the holiday lullaby Still, Still, Still. Poetic readings and vocal solos enhance the event’s festal spirit.

The Beaumont, trimmed in holiday décor, provides an impressive feast. The menu includes a Mediterranean green salad, grilled bistro tender, rosemary roasted fingerling potatoes, autumnal vegetable sautee, and gourmet chocolate mousse.

Ticket prices are $35 each through Nov. 18. After Nov. 18, the per ticket price increases to $40. Purchase tickets at wsc.universitytickets.com. Orders are accepted through noon Dec. 2. All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds. In case of inclement weather, the dinners will be rescheduled on Dec. 10 and Dec. 11. Please be seated 15 minutes prior to the performance. For assistance ordering tickets, contact Dr. Melissa Derechailo at 402-375-7480 or mederec1@wsc.edu.
