FAQ

How do I sign up for a tour?
When you are ready to sign up, call WNAX at 1 800 843 0089.
If you have questions, call the guy who organizes all the trips.  His name is Steve!  Reach him by calling or texting 605 857 0753 or email at crawford@wnax.com

When do I pay?
For flyaway trips, we generally like full payment.  However a 50 percent deposit is accepted, with full payment due 60-days prior to the trip.  Our Alaska Cruise requires full payment 120 days prior to departure.  Payment plans can be set up as requested.

Are there items not allowed on bus trips?
Alcohol and smoking are not allowed on the bus.

Do you provide refunds?
We offer trip assurance for about half of what traditional travel insurance costs.
If you prefer Travel Insurance, Travel Guard is available HERE.
WNAX Trips has no affiliation with Travel Guard.

We understand sometimes life can get in the way of the best laid plans. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel a trip, we will provide the best possible outcome for everyone involved.

What hotels do you use?
We know how important it is to get a good nights sleep and be comfortable in your hotel room. We generally stay in Best Westerns and Holiday Inns and other similar hotels. We take into consideration location, guest reviews and onsite inspections.

Are meals included?
Many, but not all hotels provide breakfast. All other meals, unless noted, are not part of the trip — unless otherwise noted in the trip itinerary. We recognize there are many different tastes and budgets, we want your meals to be your choice.

Can I travel with WNAX if I need a walker or wheelchair?
WNAX can accommodate travelers of various levels of health and fitness. While our buses aren’t accessible, we try to make accommodations for all.  Feel free to bring your walker or wheel chair. Please let us know if you need special accommodations when you sign up.

Where do your trips depart from?
For fly away trips, we can arrange departure from the airport of your choice. Pricing is based on flights out of Omaha, Minneapolis, Kansas City or Des Moines.  In some cases, we can book a flight from an airport of your choice for no extra charge but most smaller airports are more expensive to fly from. Additional fees may be required and would be communicated before final booking.

For Bus trips, we can pick up at locations along the path of our trip.  It will be your responsibility to secure parking at locations other than Yankton.  However, we will provide “some” locations we’ve previously picked folks up from.

Can we fly first class?
All flights are booked main class ticketing. You may upgrade your flights once we’ve shared your flight information.  Generally, choosing seats or special seating will cost extra.

Do you accept credit cards?
Yes!  Fees can be a big expense for us, so if you choose to pay with a credit card, there is a 3 percent fee. If you choose to pay by check or money order, there is no additional fee.

WNAX Trips rules/policies:

  • WNAX reserves the right to cancel any trip at anytime without notice.
  • You must sign a liability waiver to participate on one of our trips.
  • Game times, itineraries, hotel accommodations and bus lines are subject to change without notice.
  • While WNAX Trips will assist you with alternative plans, the radio station is not responsible for additional costs incurred if your flight is delayed or cancelled.
  • Acts of God are not covered by WNAX. Costs associated with flights and/or additional hotel nights because of weather or other natural occurrences are the responsibility of the traveler.
  • Baggage expenses are not included in the price of our trips.  However, there may be occasions when baggage expenses are free.
  • There are no refunds if you cancel your trip(s). Exceptions include unpaid features of the trip, unused flight credits or if you purchased Trip Assurance.
  • If WNAX cancels a trip because of an ‘Act of God’ you will/can receive a combination of cash paid and/or airline or trip credits.
  • In case of bad weather, our bus trips can leave early or late so as to avoid a storm.  For flyaway trips, we will depart when the airline reschedules the flight.
  • When you book a trip to a sporting event, concert or show, you have bought any and all tickets and bus seats associated with the trip. That means in the event of blizzard, flood or any other possible act of God, including illness, the ticket(s) and seat(s) are yours.
  • In the event you cannot go on a trip to a sporting event, concert or show, WNAX will do everything possible to resell your tickets and cancel your hotel room.  A full refund is offered if the trip sells out and your seat(s) are resold.  In the event your seats aren’t resold and you have purchase Trip Assurance you will be credited/refunded the appropriate amount.
  • For canceled or postponed games/concerts you will only be refunded for unused tickets if they are refunded by the team or show.
  • Trip Assurance is only effective from when you purchase a trip until that trip departs.  If an illness or death (yourself or immediate family member) prevents you from going on a WNAX trip, you will receive a refund of 40% of the total purchase price and another 40% back in a future trip credit, minus the Trip Assurance cost.  Trip credit is good through December 31st of the following year. Example: If you canceled your trip in June of 2026, your credit is good through December 31st of 2027.
  • To get full insurance coverage of your trip, you should purchase traditional travel insurance from your personal insurance provider.  Traditional travel insurance is more expensive — but depending on what you buy, can give you 100% coverage of the cost of the trip.
  • Full payment is expected for flyaway trips.  If you wish, you may pay half the price, per person as a deposit, with full payment due 60-days prior to the trip.
  • Tour prices are subject to increased rate until fully paid.
  • Booking a tour indicates you have read and agree with the terms.
  • Elevators are not guaranteed at hotel properties.
  • Motor coaches WNAX uses are NOT accessible.  Though wheelchairs and scooters may fit under the bus.
  • Traveler is responsible for his/her luggage and may have to walk a short distance with their bag.  The host will be happy to assist with bags if asked.
  • All items brought onto a motor coach must be kept clear of the aisle.
  • Please ensure luggage brought on the motor coach is not excessive and allows for all passengers to be accommodated.
  • If special accommodations are needed, please communicate this before booking.
  • Arrangements for special requirements may incur additional costs to the traveler.
  • Specific type hotel rooms or cruise cabins requested will be passed onto the hotel or cruise company, however, actual room types or cabins assigned (portside or starboard) are at the discretion of the hotel or cruise company and cannot be guaranteed by WNAX Trips.
  • Air fare is booked at Main or Economy class rate. Depending on the airline, this means you will most likely sit toward the back of the plane.  Seats in the back of the plane are the same size as those toward the front.  You may upgrade to first class on your own at an additional cost.
  • One carry-on bag, meeting the airline specifications, is included in the trip price.
Additional charges for checked bags may be imposed by the airline and is the responsibility of the traveler.
  • Airlines may change departure times and/or layover sites. Please check the status one day prior to the flight.
  • On bus trips, we do NOT formally rotate seats.  However, if you would like to volunteer to rotate, you may.
  • We will NOT encourage you to wear lanyard with your name on it.  If you wish to wear a name tag, however, you may.
  • Our hosts will NOT lead you around holding a stick with a monkey on top.  We think that is silly.
  • OUR ONLY RULE:  Any and all participants on WNAX Trips MUST have fun and smile when smiled at!
