CHARLES MIX COUNTY LAKE RESTORATION ORGANIZATION JULY 4th RIBFEST

The Charles Mix County Lake Restoration Organization (CMCLRO) will hold its third annual RibFest on July 4, 2024, at the Bull-O-Rama grounds on the southwest edge of Lake Andes.  The RibFest is planned in conjunction with the fireworks display to be presented by the Lake Andes-Ravinia Fire District. The July 4th event will be picnic style, so attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and other picnic items.  Participants in the RibFest will offer their specialty ribs in a competition style event with the winner receiving a $2,500.00 prize, second place receiving a $1,500.00 prize, third place receiving $1,000.00, fourth place receiving $300.00, and the fifth-place finisher receives $200.00.  Pulled pork, and other minimal side dishes will be served at the event in addition to the ribs.  The food will be served from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, however, the gate will open at 1:00 PM with a Beanbag Tournament.  Uncle Roy and the Boys will provide musical entertainment until 9:30 PM, with the fireworks display concluding the evening.  Admission to the event is free, but tickets will be sold for the food and beverages, and of course all donations are welcomed.
