The Charles Mix County Lake Restoration Organization (CMCLRO) will hold a Rib Fest on July 3rd this year at the Bull-O-Rama grounds on the southwest edge of Lake Andes. The July 3rd event will be picnic style, so attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and other picnic items. Participants in the RibFest will offer their specialty ribs in a competition style event with the winner receiving a $500 prize, second place receiving a $350 prize, and the third-place finisher receiving $150.  Beer, pulled pork, and other minimal side dishes will be served at the event in addition to the ribs. The food will be served from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, however, the gate will open at 5:30 PM. Uncle Roy and the Boys will provide musical entertainment until 9:30 PM, with the fireworks display concluding the evening. Admission to the event is free, but tickets will be sold for the food and beverages, and of course all donations are welcomed. All are welcome and encouraged to come to the event to support the CMCLRO. The proceeds for the event will be used to fund the projects of the CMCLRO.
