Chamberlain High School seniors are preparing for the second annual “Scholarthon,” a live fundraising event supporting scholarships for graduating students pursuing higher education.
The scholarthon will take place April 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be livestreamed on Chamberlain’s CubNation YouTube channel. Watch parties will also be held at the Smoking Mule and the Silver Dollar.
The program will feature interviews with CHS seniors, local leaders, and alumni. Organizers have a goal to raise $20,000 to help provide scholarships for present and future CHS graduates.
Community members can support the effort by tuning in, contacting student organizers, or reaching out to a member of the Oacoma, Chamberlain, Pukwana Area Community Foundation. Pledges may be dropped off at the Chamberlain Community Center or mailed to P.O. Box 526, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
