This is a 12-day flyaway across the pond!

Note: This trip requires walking shoes!  If you have trouble walking, this trip might not be for you. We travel around London and Paris like a local — mostly by subway, shuttle and on foot! You’ll get the full experience!

London-Paris Itinerary 

Tuesday, August 11: Fly to London

Wednesday, August 12: Opening Day!
11am Arrive at Heathrow Airport — transfer to Hotel.
3:00pm Take a walk past Big Ben and visit the Churchill War Rooms. We’ll drop by 10 Downing Street (the English version of the White House).
Stroll through the famous flower beds of St. James Park.
Dinner on your own / relax

Thursday, August 13: Royal Day I
9am Depart hotel
10am Visit the Household Cavalry Museum
11am View the Changing of the King’s Life Guard Ceremony
Lunch on your own
1:30pm Tour both Houses of Parliament.
3:30pm Explore the Gothic Abbey Church of Westminster Abbey.
Evening: Take a ride on the London Eye!

Friday, August 14: Royal Day II
9am Depart hotel
10am Visit the royal carriages at The Royal Mews
10:45am Witness the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace
Lunch on your own
1:15pm Tour the London residence of the UK monarch at Buckingham Palace.
4pm: Visit the famous domed wonder of St. Paul’s Cathedral
Evening: Explore the notorious Piccadilly Circus, sometimes described as the Times Square of London.

Saturday, August 15: Excursion Day!
8am Depart hotel
Depart to one of the great wonders of the world, Stonehenge. Then we are off to Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world.
6pm Arrive back in London

Sunday, August 16: Bridge & Chunnel Day!
9am Depart hotel
10am Visit the Tower of London.
Lunch on your own (on site)
1pm Experience Tower Bridge and/or London Bridge Experience (Depending on time)
Evening Take a train to our next stop, Paris!
Arrive at Paris train station (Lose 1 hour)
Check-in at Hotel

Monday, August 17: 

9AM We’re OFF to visit the Louvre and Tuileries Gardens
Lunch on your own in the area
Afternoon Walk to Sainte Chapelle and Conciergerie; Notre Dame; Square Rene Viviani; Saint Severin
Dinner on your own

Tuesday, August 18:

9AM We’re headed to Pont Neuf Bridge & Place Dauphin|
10AM Tour the BEAUTIFUL Opera House
Enjoy lunch at Galeries Lafayette
Afternoon, visit the Eglise Saint-Sulpice Church; and Luxemborg Gardens!
Dinner on your own
7PM Leave for Seine River Cruise! We’ll take a lovely cruise up and down the river Seine with a special focus on the Eiffel Tower as it sparkles at 10pm!
10:30PM To the top of the Eiffel Tower! Built as a centerpiece of the 1889 World’s fair designed to celebrate the centennial of the French Revolution.

Wednesday, August 19:
9AM Visit Napoleon’s Tomb in the heart of Paris, alongside Le Dome des Invalides, and the Army Museum of French Military.
Close by, we visit the Rodin Art Museum
Enjoy Rue Cler Market for lunch, one of the most authentic market streets in Paris.
Take the subway to The Basilica of Sacré-Cœur, a Roman Catholic church and a famous landmark in Paris. The site is Paris’ highest natural point.
8PM An evening visit to the spectacular Arc de Triomphe!

Thursday, August 20: Versailles
9:00am Depart hotel
Ride the train to Versailles, Tour the Palace, gardens, and town of Versailles.
Marvel at the lavish palace and gardens of what was the official residence of the French monarchy from 1682 to 1789.
Lunch on your own at Versailles
3:00pm Take the train back to Paris

Friday, August 21: Normandy
Morning Train departs to Bayeux
Visit Normandy and the WWII D-Day landing beaches.
Evening Train departs to Paris

Saturday, August 22: Headed HOME!
TBD Depart to Airport for flight home

General
Itinerary and hotels are subject to change. Alternatives may be offered due to closure or unexpected events.
Tour prices are subject to increased rate until booked with a deposit.
Booking a tour indicates you have read and agree with the terms.

Air Travel
Air fare is booked at Economy class group rate. Upgrades may be requested at additional cost.
One carry-on bag, meeting the airline specifications, is included in the trip price.
Additional charges for checked bags may be imposed by the airline and is the responsibility of the traveler.
Airlines may change departure times and/or layover sites. Please check the status one day prior to the flight.

Ground Transportation
Ground transportation is provided by air-conditioned motor coach.
Seat rotation is not enforced.
If you need special accommodations or have concerns during the trip,  please speak with the host and every effort will be made to make suitable arrangements.
All items brought onto the motor coach must be kept clear of the aisle.
Please ensure luggage brought on the motor coach is not excessive and allows for all passengers to be accommodated.

Hotel Accommodations
Hotels are subject to change based on availability at time of reservation.
Elevators are not guaranteed at all properties.
Traveler is responsible for his/her luggage and may have to walk a short distance with their bag.

All tours require some walking and traveler is responsible for their own luggage. Please request help from the host if needed.
