Twenty fire departments from across the area compete for best Ribs, Brisket, and Baked Beans.  Other activities include:  5K run/walk,  Car show and shine (be parked by noon, no registration needed), bean bag tourney (1st 32 teams register by noon, $10 entry, 100% payout), sand volleyball tourney (1st 12 teams register by 2 pm, Double Elimination, $20 entry, 100% payout, 5 person teams), kids water fight (16 and under, 3:30 pm), kids sweet corn eating contest (starts at 5:00 pm).  Beverages available, no coolers please, pork sandwiches and hot dogs available at noon, ribs and brisket available at 5:00 pm.   Raffle tickets for a chance to win a Louisiana wood pellet grill, 49 Inch LG 4K Smart TV, Dallas Goedert signed jersey,  or a rib dinner for 20 people served by the fire dept., or a Milwaukee stackable tool chest, or $100 cash.  Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the 6th annual cook-off.  Proceeds go toward the fire department purchase of equipment.
