Four Detained in Connection with Yankton Shooting Death


Yankton Police received a 911 call about 2:40 Wednesday morning, reporting a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A 17-year-old female was transported to Avera Sacred Heart Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Yankton Police Chief Brian Paulsen says four individuals, a 17-year-old female, 20-year-old Logan Winder, 19-year-old Logan Huber, and 18 year old Andrew Johnson have all been detained.
Charges have now been filed against Huber and Winder, including possession of controlled substances, burglary, possession of stolen property and grand theft.

Paulsen says the autopsy has been completed and the gun recovered. He says the investigation is continuing.
