Monsanto One Step Closer To Final EU Approval On Stack Technology
The European Union Commission has taken another step to giving final approval to use of two of Monsanto’s corn trait stack technologies. Monsanto Corn Product Management team spokesperson Holly Butka says the final step is just the routine publishing of the commission’s decision which is expected soon for both Genuity Vt Double Pro and Yield Guard Vt Triple. She says the approval is good news for U.S. producers which gives them access to more customers.
Butka says both Genuity Vt Double Pro and Guard Vt Triple are environmentally friendly and cost effective for producers.
Butka says Yield Guard Vt triple technology has been very popular with producers in America and is estimated to be used on nearly 30 % of corn acres in the U.S. this year. She says Monsanto is also awaiting approval for Genuity Vt Double Pro for farmers to use in 7 other countries.
