R-CALF President Disturbed By Latest Canada Case Of BSE
Canada has confirmed its 17th. case of BSE.The animal was born in February of 2004, making it six years old. R-CALF President Dr. Max Thornsberry sayshe’s concerned Canada is finding more BSE cases.
Dr. Thornsberry says while it’s not good that the latest Canadian BSE case wasn’t made public for almost two weeks after it was discovered.,the government agencies don’t have to report BSE if they’re under controlled risk status.
Thornsberry says he’s also troubled by the fact that USDA kept saying that as long as the feed ban was in place, all BSE cases would stop and that hasn’t happened.
