State lawmakers are now in a watch and wait mode as they attempt to wrap up the budget and the main run of the legislative session by tomorrow.A new wrinkle was added when the US Senate passed the jobs bill yesterday. In that, was extra Medicaid money for the states. It appears South Dakota could get about thirty million extra dollars.

Republicans have proposed cutting about fifty million dollars without going to the state reserves.
Hunhoff says the budget is also waiting on final action on several important bills...
