Tyler Niederklein and four relievers
combined to limit the University of Nebraska at Kearney to four
hits and Kyle Bubak drove in three runs to lead Nebraska to an 8-1
victory over the Lopers on Wednesday.
The Cornhuskers (4-7) banged out 14 hits and broke open the game
with four runs in the fourth inning and three in the fifth.
Niederklein (1-0) allowed one hit in three innings. Ryan Hander,
Luke Bublitz and Chase Adams combined for five shutout innings.
Mike Nesseth gave up a a run on three hits in the ninth.
Roy Metter (1-3) gave up five runs on seven hits in four
innings. Blake Cover had two hits for the Lopers (9-8).
